Backstreet Rookie (2020)

Backstreet Rookie introduces Choi Dae Hyun, whose past includes an memorable encounter with high school student Jung Saet Byeol. She, appearing as a troublemaker then, once asked him to buy cigarettes, and though he did, she never used his number. Four years later, now 33, Choi Dae Hyun has left his large company job to manage his own small convenience store. Searching for a night shift employee, he is surprised when Jung Saet Byeol, now a morally upright university student, applies and begins working for him. No longer the rebellious teenager, she brings a new dynamic to his life. This charming romantic comedy, adapted from the webtoon "Convenience Store Saet Byeul," explores their evolving relationship amidst the everyday bustle of the store.
