Beyond Evil (2021)

Beyond Evil delves into the intense hunt for a vicious serial killer unsettling a quiet city. Demoted detective Lee Dong Sik, now performing menial tasks and settling into a peaceful life, has his world shaken by the arrival of his new superior, elite detective Han Joo Won. Joo Won, son of a top candidate for the National Police Agency's chief, harbors a significant, long-held secret. When a string of gruesome killings emerges, eerily echoing cold serial murder cases from 20 years prior, Dong Sik and Joo Won must reluctantly team up. Their investigation forces them to look far deeper than surface evidence, questioning the culpability of everyone connected to the case, including themselves, as they confront a twisted past.
